I'm pretty sure that Dimitar Berbatov could round a goalkeeper if the two of them were chained together, superglued together and then placed in a phone box. Not just any phone box either, a custom one built for the actor who plays Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones.
Against Evian on Saturday, the Bulgarian stepped around goalkeeper Benjamin Leroy with the ball seemingly magnetised to his feet. A flick with the outside of his boot and it was in the back of the net.
The great injustice of this is that Berbatov was not credited with the goal. Instead it was marked down as an own goal for Kassim Abdallah. Whoever awarded that as an OG must really hate football deep down. Surely it was going in regardless of the defender's touch.
An addition will be required to our 'Fail-safe 10-step guide to being more like Dimitar Berbatov' - No.11: Do shit like this.
