Steven Gerrard Mania has reached ludicrous levels as Liverpool fans are forking out thousands to see the Kop legend play his final game for the club. Entrepreneurial Stoke fans are selling their tickets at truly ridiculous prices. The cheapest tickets on the site Ticketbis.com are going for around €220 and there are numerous tickets on sale for a cool three or four grand.
But the pick of the lot is in the Britannia's away end, the Marston's Pedigree Stand, which is going for €19,538.77. That's about 24 times the price of Stoke's most expensive season ticket and nearly 280 times the price of the most expensive match ticket. Eat your heart out MayPac.
Stoke City have been forced to issue a warning to their season ticket holders stating that they could lose their tickets and membership rights if they sell their tickets to Liverpool supporters. General admission at Gerrard's next club, LA Galaxy, is €21. Bargain.
