Irish sporting apparel has a habit of popping up in unusual locations. Last week, there was a Kerry jersey at the Met Gala in New York. Before that there was of course a Limerick jersey at the Vancouver Riots, an Antrim jersey on Law and Order SVU and a few others in various conflict areas around the world.
Not to be outdone by the GAA, the League of Ireland have got in on the act too.
On Channel 4 News on Monday evening, a mid 90s Derry City jersey was spotted during a report from Cuba. That's the unmistakeable Fruit of the Loom logo on the front.
Watching @Channel4News report on Cuba and this guy pops up wearing his @derrycityfc shirt must be Havana laugh pic.twitter.com/rAMd6wrORN
