For some reason the Daily Mail decided to drag poor old Jon Walters into the whole riff-raff about the Raheem Sterling's contract negotiations with Liverpool. Thankfully, for their sake, Walters has a sense of humour...
Why Walters' goal tally has anything to do with the price of cabbage is beyond me but the Daily Mail decided that the Republic of Ireland players is some sort of litmus test in judging whether a player is worth £100k a week or not. It did however open Walters' eyes to the windfall he's missing out on.
Not happy with this.....! I'm going in. I want at least 120k ???????????????? pic.twitter.com/IXf4oDKJZx

I will never forget the day and I bought him in fantasy football, made him captain and he scored a hat-trick. That deserves a £200k a week in my eyes.
