Man City slumped to another Champions League defeat last night and unsurprisingly, the RTÉ panel didn't sugarcoat their criticism of the City team. In particular, Liam Brady blasted the lack of effort from the side, and Yaya Toure particular.
Brady said:
I don't like talking about money but these guys are getting a hell of a lot money and they should be doing a better job in the Champions League than they do. There's a complacency about them that's very hard to understand.
It's all very well talking about tactics but tactics can't be blamed when there's a lack of effort.
The former Arsenal midfielder then turned his attention to Yaya Toure 'I think he's [Toure] a tremendous player, I think he's done really well for the club but he was just strolling around tonight.'
What is it about City and the Champions League, eh?
