Raheem Sterling may be the name on everyone's lips but the fact that Jordan Henderson is also running out of time on his contract hasn't gone unnoticed. The Liverpool captain in waiting has become increasingly important for Brendan Rodgers this year and the Liverpool manager will undoubtedly be glad to learn that Henderson is ready to commit his future to the club.
With his contract expiring in 2016, there were worries that Henderson's situation may be even more critical than that of Sterling, however, The Telegraph are reporting that the former Sunderland man has agreed a new £100,000 a week, fiver year deal.
The club have refused to comment on the report but it does seem likely that Henderson will now put pen to paper on the deal by the end of the week.
