Kevin Doyle's Time At Wolves Could Be Coming To An End

Kevin Doyle has been offered a three-year contract with MLS club Colorado Rapids according to The Irish Sun. With the player's loan at Palace not being renewed and with Wolves' manager Kenny Jackett freezing Doyle out of his squad, Doyle is left with little option to continue his playing career and a move to the MLS might appeal.

The move would come as a free-transfer with Wolves eager to move the player off their books due to his wage; some £40,000 per week. He would have to take a hefty pay cut on this rate possibly lower than £10,000, but the prospect of playing regular football in a growing league as well as a three-year contract would offset the impact of this. He is said to be giving serious consideration to the offer and its impact on his family.

Doyle may want to talk to former Irish international Caleb Folan who called the Denver club home for a season, Cork-born Shane O'Neill is also at the club.

Irish team-mate Robbie Keane has had a successful spell in the league so far, as did Andy O'Brien for three years. Sean St.Ledger is currently on trial with Kaka's Orlando City after becoming set on a move to the league.
