After Adidas confirmed that football has official gone mad with their garish new Adizero FS boots, Puma decided to have a pop in an attempt to not be left out, although their effort is far less offensive.
The Puma evoSPEED SL 2015 CAMO boots are the first to incorporate red and cyan features to give a 3D effect when worn with glasses, and why they thought this was necessary we have absolutely no idea.
Another cool feature for these boots is that they are reported to be the lowest weight of football boot ever made, less than the Adidas Adizero 99g boots. That means you're not safe to wear these to 5-a-side, as any studs up challenge will likely need a hospital visit.
We want to say they look absolutely shocking, but then we haven't seen them in their final form, so that would be unfair. Who knows, maybe these boots will look so good that fans everywhere show up to matches wearing 3D glasses. Maybe that's the future of football?
