Ireland lost 1-0 to England at the U17 European Championships in Bulgaria on Wednesday. Young Spurs player Marcus Edwards was the scorer with an excellent strike past Caoimhin Kelleher in the 71st minute.

Late in the first half, the Irish keeper pulled off a superb save to keep his side in the game. Nathan Holland cut inside from the right and struck a left-footed shot bound for the top corner. Kelleher managed to get a strong hand to the ball and prevent England taking the lead.

Just last month 16-year-old Kelleher signed a four-year deal with Liverpool.
