It looks like Ian Harte will not be making a return to Premier League football next season. At least not with Bournemouth anyway. The Championship winners released seven players today and one of them was the 37-year-old former Irish international.
Manager Eddie Howe had this to say about the decision:
It’s always difficult when you have to make decisions about players’ futures, especially when they have done so well for us over a long period of time.
This is the heart breaking part of the job because we are losing some very good people and some fantastic characters.
The Louth man made 35 appearances in all for the club, scoring one goal, this absolute beauty against Birmingham last season.
He also got Bournemouth's 'Celebration of the Season' award for his effort after that goal.
