The doors at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris must be particularly narrow. Club president Massimo Ferrero says that he would consider Rafa Benitez as a possible replacement for Sinisa Mihajlovic but only if the Spaniard was to first have a consultation with a dietician.
Ferrero was speaking to Italian station Radio Crc about speculation that his Serbian manager would be departing soon.
As far as I am concerned, he's [Mihajlovic] staying. If he were to leave, I'd know who to replace him with.
Paulo Sousa's not going to be Sampdoria's next coach, it will be [Italian comedy actor] Lino Banfi.
I could take Benitez, but I'd have to take him to see a dietitian first.
Anyway, if Mihajlovic does leave, I've already got a replacement. You all say he's leaving, even if I don't know anything about it.
Even as Italian footballer club owners go, Ferrero seems like a bit of a nutter. Just look at those eyes.
Rafa's contract with Napoli comes to an end this season and the former Liverpool manager has been linked with the Man City where some papers have speculated that he could 'plug a gap' until it's Pep time at the Etihad.
