Jack Grealish was one of the stars for Aston Villa as they defeated Liverpool at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final. He set up Fabian Delph for what would be the winner for the midlands side.
At just 19, Grealish has undoubted potential. And it's potential which Stephen Hunt wants him to fulfil, especially when it comes to international football. Hunt dedicated his Sunday Independent column to the midfielder and it contains one particular nugget of advice.
Grealish’s intentions regarding Ireland remain a little unclear but if he does finally end up in a senior squad I would give him one bit of advice: study what Stephen Ireland did and do the opposite.
Hunt was part of the Ireland set-up during the Stephen Ireland saga and says that confusion surrounding his international football status caused animosity towards the Stoke player in the Ireland squad. The Ipswich man does not want this to happen with Grealish.
Grealish said last month that he hopes to be back in an Ireland jersey come September.
