There have been months of rumours, with strong links to Liverpool and now Manchester United, but finally Burnley striker Danny Ings has had his say on a potential summer move.
The first thing to note, is that from what Ings is saying, it's a virtual certainty that he will be on the move. Ings says that he will choose where he next club is based on the potential for first team action:
One thing I don't want to do is go somewhere and, not rot, but all of a sudden disappear for a while. Somewhere you don't really get a look-in.
Ings is looking for a club that he can develop at, and he hopes to play under a coach that will be able to get the best out of him as he grows as a player.
One thing I do want next year no matter where I am - and I don't know where that is going to be - is to work with a manager who is going to coach me and really develop me as a player. That's all you can ask for, to learn and be the best you can be. It is important that you do get football.
Liverpool were linked with Ings' signature first way back in January, before sources in Old Trafford suggested that Man United were also interested this week with the futures of Falcao and van Persie in doubt.
They may both have to wait until the end of the season before Ings makes his decision though.
