Every day someone in here will mention something and the office will react with 'Jaysis, yeah. Remember that!' Here are just a few of those memories that crossed our minds in recent week.
1. That Kevin Keegan managed Fulham
Left them to take over England in 1999 after getting promoted from Division Two.
2. Quincy Owusu-Abeyie
He wasn't the biggest flop but never really made the grade at Arsenal.
3. That the Champions League used to have two group stages
Not only that but back in 1998-99 it was still only group winners and two best placed runners up who qualified for the knock-out stages. Manchester United only scraped through the group as second best runner-up.
4. That Ian Rush played for Leeds
Three goals in 42 games. Three bloody goals.
5. That On the Ball was a thing
Revived and presented by a young Gabby Logan and Barry Venison in the mid-200os when ITV had Premier League rights.

6. Erik Edman
One of the 2,461 to play for Tottenham Hotspur in this century.
7. The RTÉ used to show 3pm kick-offs at 3.30pm
This is so forgotten that there's absolutely no record on the internet that it ever happened. I'm afraid we're going to have to make do with the intro for Premiership Live.

8. Clubcall
Back before the days of the interweb a fan would have to go and ring someone to get their team's news. Mothers around Ireland were driven demented with huge phone bills.
9. Bernard Diomède
This man is a World Cup winner.
10. That Leeds United (kind of) knocked Barcelona out of the Champions League
Albeit they were hammered in the Nou Camp, Leeds managed to finish second in their group, ahead of Barca, on their way to the Champions League semi-final.
11. Mario Stanic
Signed for Chelsea and then immediately scored on of the goals of the season.
12. That transfer deadline day used to be on 31 March
The good old days when you could pretty much sign a player whenever you wanted. Tino Asprilla signed for Newcastle in February 1996 and then promptly did this.
13. There was a Playstation game called FA Premier League Stars
Why on earth would you make this when you already had FIFA?
14. Coventry City were a decent Premier League side
Richard Shaw, Robbie Keane, John Aloisi, Gary McAllistar and of course ... Noel Whelan.
