The Man Utd midfielder had run past Aaron Ramsey and gone to ground rather easily. Michael Oliver booked Di Maria for the dive. Then the confusion began as the Argentine began walking off the pitch.
Replays showed that the reason he was exiting the game was because he had received a red card for tugging on Oliver's shirt.
