Leeds United fans all over the internet have been rubbing their hands together gleefully at the prospect of a new owner who is not batshit insane, but is in fact one of the World's most well known actors.
After Massimo Cellino this week made clear his intentions to not return to Leeds United, a take-over could be considered a massive boost for the club, and who better than Maximus Decimus Meridius himself?
It appears that Russell Crowe is genuinely considering buying Leeds United Football Club, after he responded to a fellow Leeds fan's cry for help and asked his followers if they thought it was a good idea.
“@Samwild90: @russellcrowe please buy leeds. In need of help!!” Anybody else think this is a good idea?

Crowe has previous experience with turning around the fortunes of a faltering sports team, as after he purchased Australian NRL side the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2006, the newly raised profile of the club helped attract better players and performances soon saw an upward curve, culminating in a Grand Final win in 2014.
But is he really serious about buying Leeds? He has admitted in the past that he is a fan since he saw the club on Match Of The Day as a youngster, and he regularly tweets about the club's performance as we saw last week:
Well, well #Leeds great result

But for now we will just have to wait and see. And what do you think Leeds fans, would you welcome the potential Russell Crowe Leeds United take-over?
