There's a lot of good will for Sean St Ledger around these parts. As such, we were once again disappointed to learn that, yesterday morning, Sledge's hopes of securing a contract suffered another blow. DC United decided to release the Ireland international from their training roster ahead of the upcoming MLS season.
St Ledger had said that a move to America was high up on his list of priorities and thankfully that is still very much possible after he was invited to train with newly formed expansion team Orlando City, who just so happen to include Kaka among their squad.
After the extended run of bad luck in finding a new club, let's hope this is finally the opportunity that St Ledger has been waiting for. And just to prove how much he wants that contract, he made the canny move of attaching himself to Kaka during his first training session.
