RTÉ have today confirmed that they will be showing next week's Ballon D'or ceremony live on the RTÉ Player as well as on www.rte.ie/sport. The coverage will begin at 5.30 p.m on Monday January 12th with highlights of the awards shown on RTÉ 2 later at 11.15.
The highlights show will include an interview with (hopefully Puskas Award winner) Stephanie Roche. The broadcast will take in the main events of the night culminating in the awarding of the Ballon D'or to one of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Manuel Neuer. However, we all know what the real highlight of the night will be.
Stephanie Roche will be in Zurich hoping that all our voting has paid dividends as she goes up against James Rodriguez and Robin van Persie in the battle for the Puskas Award for best goal of the year. Voting remains open so keep it up and remember, incognito mode and refresh are your friends.
