Ronny Deila Is Not Happy With The Sky Sports Schedulers

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has taken aim at Sky Sports after the broadcasting overlord decided the East Anglian Derby between Norwich and Ipswich was a more attractive prospect than a potential SPL title decider.

Celtic, fresh from an exhaustive struggle with Inter Milan in the Europa League will take on Aberdeen tomorrow who are only three points behind them in the SPL table. The game will kick off at 12pm on Sky Sports 3 and Deila is adamant this is disrespectful to the size of the game and to travelling fans:

'I don't understand it, I understand that television are controlling it, and because they want to have it on Sky Sports we have to play before everyone else in England because that it is the most important thing. But when does it stop? Are we going to play at 10 o'clock soon? It's about the crowd as well: we have to think of the fans. At 3 o'clock more people come and it would be a bigger game. This should be prime time.'

Sky or course have a jam packed schedule tomorrow with Liverpool and Manchester City clashing in the early fixture and the 3 o'clock slot being taken up by the Carling Cup final between Chelsea and Spurs.

Perhaps they were genuinely stunned that something approaching a title challenge is happening in Scotland.
