Say what you want about the Germans, but they do have fantastic football fans. Remember the Dortmund supporters offering their advice to Mats Hummels three weeks ago? Well now Stuttgart are on the receiving end of crowd condolences. Ironically, it's Dortmund who are the cause of it.
Stuttgart, who have managed just one draw in five, are now rooted to the bottom of the Bundesliga. The main talking point in the 3-2 loss to Jurgen Klopp's men, however, was Dortmund's third goal. 18 year old Timo Baumgartl late lapse of concentration allowed Marco Reus to stroll in to kill off the game. Instead of fans booing and jeering the young fella (something we're certainly used to), they decided to take the more positive route, by simply being nice.
Despite getting a late consolation goal, the loss means that Stuttgart are now four points off safety with 12 games remaining. In contrast, Dortmund (who were, erm, certain of relegation a month ago) are now sitting in 12th only eight points off a European spot.
Ohh how things can change.
