I cannot for the life of me understand why all the major television channels haven't cut from their normal broadcasts to bring us this news but it seems the big wigs in RTÉ don't grasp the severity of the situation.

Give me a fucking break! This is bloody nonsense. If I have to spend the next God-knows-how-many years writing about football transfer rumours based on who they've followed on Instagram, what they've changed their bio to on Twitter or who they added as friend on LinkedIn, then I'll pack it all in and go back to the farm.
Lionel Messi might be joining Chelsea if and when he arrives in London to complete his medical. Until then, don't worry about it. There's a life to be lived and it doesn't contain transfer gossip.
