Chelsea have condemned the actions of some of their fans in Paris last night after a video emerged on the Guardian website of a group of fans stopping a black man from boarding a train.
The group in question then began to chant "we're racist, we're racist, and that's the way we like it". A number of other passengers then appeared to get off the train as the scene was unfolding.
Understandably, Chelsea have been quick to distance themselves from the action of the group of fans. In a statement the club said they would support any criminal action against the group.
Such behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football or society. We will support any criminal action against those involved, and should evidence point to involvement of Chelsea season-ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them, including banning orders.
