Adnan Januzaj could be a key cog in Manchester United's signing of Seamus Coleman, report the Manchester Evening News.
The player has struggled to adapt to Louis Van Gaal's system, including the heavy utilisation of wing-backs. It is a role he himself doesn't believe he can play, saying in United's matchday programme;
I’m not really a wing-back, it’s harder for me because there is more defending involved and I’m not really a defender.
With a saturated midfield contingent also present at United, Januzaj's playing time has been curtailed, struggling to find a place in the team. As a result, the player could be used in part exchange for 25-cap Irish international Seamus Coleman, a player who would be well-suited to a wing-back position. Everton have previously been linked with Januzaj and Roberto Martinez is said to be very interested in the the Belgian youngster.
Coleman has been consistently linked with United and while it is too much to say a move is inevitable, it certainly wouldn't be surprising.
