Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Red Bull Salzburg winger Takumi Minamino, with the player set to join on January 1st.
He was mightily impressive in both meetings against the club in this season's Champions League, doing enough to convince Jurgen Klopp to sign the player. The £7.25million fee certainly seems like a bargain with the club's supporters mightily excited by the prospect of seeing him line out for the side.
We can confirm an agreement has been reached with @redbullsalzburg for the transfer of Takumi Minamino 🙌

The player himself is also no doubt thrilled with the move. An old interview which surfaced today on Twitter shows that he has long had the ambition of plying his trade at Anfield.
Minamino had only been in Austria for a year when the interview took place, he was not shy in admitting his ambition to move to Liverpool.
The interviewer asked him: "Where do you want to go? What league or team?"
The player responded with:
The Premier League because Klopp moved to Liverpool, I want to go Liverpool.
He's finally gotten his wish.
