Well, this is one news story that we didn't expect to see today, although we have to say we agree.
Manchester City's Samir Nasri has admitted that he can at times care not for what other people think when it comes to speaking his mind, but he doesn't see that changing any time soon despite suggesting he can occasionally be a "little shit".
Nasri scored as Manchester City defeated Stoke 4-1 at The Britannia Stadium last night, but he has not featured regularly for Manuel Pellegirini's side this campaign. Speaking to French football publication L'Equipe, Nasri is quoted as saying:
From time to time (I can be) a little jerk. Sometimes it is better to shut up, but it's something I cannot do. I managed when I was younger and I would sometimes come home with a lump in my stomach. Next, you explode but not at the right person. So I prefer to say what I think - even not being loved, even sounding arrogant, even being a little shit. At least the people I love do not suffer.
You have to admire his honesty, even if you don't admire the man, and it's a level of self awareness you don't normally get from professional footballers.
