Can you believe it's been 26 years since the 1994 World Cup in the USA?
It was a glorious time for Irish football as Jack Charlton's made their second consecutive World Cup - while England didn't even qualify - and it looked as if the good times would never end.
The boys in green kicked off the tournament on this day, 26 years ago, with a win over eventual runners-up Italy to take revenge for the heartbreak of the quarter-final defeat four years prior before a defeat to Mexico and a draw with Norway saw Ireland finish the group stage on four points.
That left us tied with all three of our Group E rivals - the only time such a thing has happened in World Cup history - as Ireland progressed from the group in second place on goals scored.
Unfortunately, there were no second round heroics in the 1994 World Cup as there had been against Romania in 1990 as Ireland were eliminated by the Netherlands in the last 16 in a 2-0 defeat, with goals coming from Dennis Bergkamp and Wim Jonk.
But it was still undoubtedly one of the best summers of all-time for Irish football as we once again showed our worth against the biggest names in the sport.
So how well do you remember the tournament for Ireland? Think you could name every player from Jack Charlton's 22-man squad from that summer? Give it a go in our quiz below. You have ten minutes. Good luck!
