Reports originating in Spanish publication 'AS' claim that Xavi will finally end his Barcelona career this summer after 24 years at the Catalan club.
Many speculated that the Spanish midfield maestro would join a club in the MLS after his Barcelona contract expired, but 'AS' are claiming that Xavi has agreed to a three year deal with Qatari club Al Sadd, where he is set to earn a whopping €10m a year while he studies to complete his coaching badges.
Having joined Barca's famous academy 'La Masia' at the age of 11, Xavi has gone on to become a club legend, and was at the heart of the incredibly successful Barca teams in recent years. He also won two European Championships and a World Cup with Spain, so with nothing left to win in European football it is understandable that Xavi would want to finish out his career in Qatar while raking in fantastic amounts of cash and setting himself up for a career in coaching/management.
Fair play to you Xavi.
