St. Pat's took the lead against 11 minutes into the second half of the FAI Cup after a shot from Christy Fagan trickled across the line.

Keith Fahey cut the ball back for Fagan whose shot took a deflection possibly wrong footing Derry's Danny Ventre who was defending the line.
