The in-vogue wonderkid of choice seems to change every six months or so. However, at this moment in time, it is very definitely Martin Odegaard. To be fair, the Norwegian 15 year old is a bit of a freak of nature. Think back to when you were 15. What did it involve?
If you weren't representing your country then chances are, Odegaard has you beat. The Stromsgodset attacker already has three caps for Norway's senior side after his impressive showing for his club. And no this is not a case of tying him up early so that he won't granny-rule it elsewhere, he's there on merit.
Unsurprisingly, there's quite a few clubs who'd like to sign him up. He's been linked to all the usual names, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Real, Barca etc. but it looks like Liverpool have jumped to the top of the queue. The Sun and The Mail are reporting that Odegaard landed in Liverpool today for a whistle-stop tour of the city including Anfield and Melwood, Liverpool's training ground.
The Sun are saying that Odegaard who is apparently a Liverpool fan, would prefer to head to Merseyside because of the possibility of making the first team sooner rather than later.
