Former Italian legend Alessandro Nesta is coming out of retirement to play football again. The World Cup winning centre half was a legend for AC Milan and Lazio before finishing out his career with Montreal Impact in 2013. Until now.

Indian Super League side Chennaiyin FC, have been successful in their bid to lure Nesta out of retirement for the rest of their season. They were looking to replace injured Colombian striker John Mendoza in their squad. 38 year old Nesta will join up with his new team after a Global Legends exhibition match on December 5th in Bangkok.

The Indian League will run until the 20th of December in the 2nd year of it's running. Nesta will surely bring some publicity and marketability to the league that is still in its infancy.
