Those who tuned in to 'Living With Lucy' on TV3 on Tuesday night were treated to a tour of Republic of Ireland and Southampton striker Shane Long's gaf...
And Jaysus, it's a palace.
There is no more deserving man and we were wowed as Lucy Kennedy brought us room from room as she was invited to stay for the weekend.
We didn't know what to expect going in, but we thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the house as we learned a number of things about Shane Long and his life away from football.
Here's what we learned:
#1 - He has a dog named Murphy.
Hopefully he's named after Daryl Murphy.
He almost certainly isn't, but that would be gas.
#2 - He drinks out of jam jars.
Is this the secret to his success?
No, it's a hipster fad that men won't understand. It's supposed to be artsy, but I'm sorry, it's just a jam jar.
#3 - He has a big pool with a slide.
The dream.
It has a retractable glass roof because, well, England.
#4 - His car collection is damn impressive.
We never had him pegged as a petrol-head.
This was just a glimpse, there are more in the garage. Nice.
#5 - But his wife's shoe collection is more impressive.
Gotta have 'em.
The moment when the ladies watching on TV3 went from admiring the house to full on jealousy.
#6 - Guitars as standard, and holy shite that TV.
That TV is bigger than my house.
Loves a sing-song, so that's no surpise, but what a fecking TV that is.
#7 - He's got a very slick underground bar.
Forget the pool, this is the dream.
A great way to unwind after being kicked up and down the pitch by Branislav Ivanovic.
#8 - With a very special tribute to his Granny.
After she passed, he scored a goal in the next game and revealed this message.
This was lovely, Long has the t-shirt that he sent a message to his recently deceased Grandmother framed and taking pride of place in his bar. Long is a family man.
#9 - Sorry, his "gaf" is an absolute palace.
Stunning.
#10 - Outdoor BBQ area? Sure why not.
This is the dream home.
#11 - His tattoo is truly meaningful.
A prayer on his chest that his father used to read to him.
Hearing Long speak about his father was genuinely moving, hats off to TV3 for a great bit of TV on a Tuesday night.
