Alan Shearer's Twitter Debut Offers The Perfect Warning To Any Would Be Abusers

Alan Shearer joined twitter today, and while someone in his position of Match of The Day pundit absolutely must be on twitter in this day and age, anybody who knows the social media platform knows that he is inevitably going to take a lot of abuse.

Shearer is already taking an awful amount of abuse for his part in a truly terrible advert that not only bores the pants of football fans everywhere on a daily basis, but also pretty much caused Newcastle's drop into a relegation battle.

Alan Shearer has, however, made a very good start to his twitter career and bought himself a few days of immunity from slagging at least with this superbly played self deprecating tweet:

This will certainly make most potential twitter-haters think twice before they take a pop at Shearer.
