With the transfer window coming to a close within the next two weeks, there are a number of Premier League clubs who are in very poor shape.
Hull City barely have enough players fit to field a team, Swansea are struggling for numbers, Burnley have made very few additions to the squad that got them promoted (including Michael Kightley, would you believe) and there are many clubs who will need to add depth as we head into September.
With that in mind we've filtered through the list of players currently out of contract via Transfermarkt.co.uk, and come up with the following list of players who are capable of doing a job.
If nothing else, it's a great list of early targets for when you start playing Football Manager 2017.
Martin Caceres
Uruguay international, former Barcelona and Juventus defender, Napoli are reportedly interested but it seems odd that nobody has snapped Caceres up just yet.
Junior Hoilett
Where did it all go wrong for Junior? Well... Blackburn, clearly, but the Canadian winger is still only 26 and has frightening pace if you can point him in the direction of the goal.
Stephane Sessegnon
Another odd one, as Sessengnon has proven his ability at Premier League level, but clearly motivation is a problem. With the right manager he could be a steal.
Alvaro Arbeloa
Unlikely to want to leave Spain again, but Arbeloa is still better than a lot of right-backs currently in the league, and we imagine if given the choice many Liverpool fans would start him at left-back.
Felipe Santana
Former Borussia Dortmund and Schalke centre-back who at only 30 could add experience and pace to a back line in need of some help.
Sulley Muntari
Another one we have seen in the Premier League before, Muntari's mentality has been questioned but again, if he had an arm put around him there are ridiculous screamers to be scored.
Raul Meireles
Linked with so many clubs over so many transfer windows, Meireles is entering the new season without a club after a spell in Turkey.
Abdoulay Konko
A very pacey right-back who has played for Sevilla and Lazio in recent times, seems odd that nobody has offered him a deal and is another one who could be a genuine option for a team lacking depth.
Kevin Constant
Former AC Milan utility player who can play left-back and central midfield, Constant is someone we are surprised to not see linked with a Premier League move.
Hal Robson-Kanu
Clearly scared off by how bad he was at Reading, Premier League clubs will have seen what he can do when he's happy as he scored a magnificent goal at Euro 2016. A risk, but surely someone out there needs to take one?
