Many Football Manager enthusiasts are already a few seasons deep into their Football Manager 2015 career, but for those of you who move at a slower pace, or simply haven't had the chance to start yet, we are here to reward your patience with some helpful suggestions for those managers who need to operate on a tight budget.
The following 10 free agents can all do a top in the top leagues. If you manage to get a few of them to a second tier club then you have pulled off a great bit of business, but if you simply need more depth in the big leagues, then these are your guys.
Here are 10 of the best free agents in Football manager 2015.
Victor Valdes - Goalkeeper - Spain
Without a doubt the most coveted free agent in Football Manager 2015, you'll need to act fast if you've taken over a club with a shakey first-choice goalkeeper, but if you can sign him, the former Barca man has a good couple of years left in him once he gets over his injuries.
Tomasz Kuszczak - Goalkeeper - Poland
The PIG, or 'Pole In Goal' as he was affectionately known to Manchester United fans during his time as back-up to Edwin Van Der Sar, Kuszczak will be an ideal back-up goalkeeper for a top club, or a solid number one for mid-low table top flight clubs. Championship managers who need a keeper could do much worse.
Diego Lugano - Centre Back - Uruguay
He didn't have a successful spell at West Brom last season but in Football Manager 2015 the Uruguayan defender is a solid experienced backup for most top flight clubs, and a star at Championship level, but expect a retirement in the near future.
Jurica Buljat - Centre Back - Croatia
The 28 year old Croatian defender spent last season at Energie Cottbus in Germany and can do a very capable job for your backline if you are in need of big presence but can't afford to sign anyone. Certainly worth a scout.
Darren O'Dea - Centre Back - Ireland
Ivan Bandalovski - Right Back - Bulgaria
The alternative to Lucas is NOT a typical Brazilian wing back, tough as nails Bandalovski will do a job for those in need of a defender-first full-back and should have no issues with work permits.
Thomas Monconduit - Defensive Midfield - France
At 23 years old anyone who needs depth in a top league could look to develop the French midfielder, and anyone in a lower division can build a team around him.
Fran Merida - Attacking Midfield - Spain
One a hot prospect at Arsenal, Fran Merida lost his way a bit but at only 24, you could be the manager to get him back on track. Loads of technical attributes, if he settles you have a star on your hands.
Denis Stracqualursi - Striker - Argentina
Without a doubt the best option for those who need a goal threat with no money in the transfer kitty, Stracqualursi is an effective goal getter at any level in Football Manager 2015.
Stefan Maierhofer - Striker - Austria
Absurdly tall Austrian striker Maierhofer is an effective target man who can do a job at a smaller club, certainly worth a scout if you are in a pinch.
