Preston are through to the League One playoff final after a 3-0 win against Chesterfield on Sunday. Jermaine Beckford scored two of those goals. The former Leeds and Everton player is currently on loan at Preston from Bolton.
His first was a clinical finish following a knock down from a free kick. The second was scored from just inside the opposition half. Beckford caught Chesterfield keeper Joe Murphy (who has two Irish caps) by surprise with the quickness of his strike.
He told Sky Sports after the game that his legs were gone at that point and shooting was "the only option I had".
Sheffield United and Swindon Town play the second leg of their semi-final on Monday night. Swindon lead 2-1 on aggregate.
