It is not a particularly good time to be a Newcastle United fan.

With the club currently on an eight game Premier League losing streak that started with Ashley Young's last minute winner for Manchester United at St.James' Park back in the first week of March, the club appears to be in turmoil with the fans protesting against the ownership, and manager John Carver resorting to accusing players of getting sent off on purpose.

But with all the losses, abject performances, and protests of the running of the club, Newcastle are now reportedly considering stripping club captain Fabricio Coloccini of the captaincy after he got into a row with goalkeeper Tim Krul on the team coach following the side's shocking 3-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City this past weekend.

It is understood that Coloccini and Krul were involved in a heated row on the bus that took Newcastle from Leicester City’s King Power Stadium to the airport for their flight back to the North East.

Krul was furious with the defending and lack of leadership from Coloccini, who was described as an “absolute disgrace” by the former Manchester United and Everton defender Phil Neville on Match of the Day.

For the first time ever, it appears that Phil Neville had a point. Coloccini was disastrous against Leicester, and nobody could blame Tim Krul if he did raise the issue with the man wearing the captain's armband.
