The popularity of darts has been taken to a whole new level over the last few months.
It's clear that the standard at the top of the game has never been higher, with viewers guaranteed top class action whenever they watch it on television. The likes of Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, and Michael Smith are among the most talented players to ever pick up a set of darts.
Of course, the arrival of Luke Littler has catapulted the game into a new stratosphere.
The 17-year old has become a genuine cultural phenomenon in recent months, something he has backed up with his performances on the stage. He already has a number of PDC titles to his name, having also won the last two rounds of the Premier League, including last night's edition in Manchester.

It is frightening to think what Luke Littler could become over the coming years, with some believing that he is already revolutionising the sport of darts.

Luke Littler has changed how Wayne Mardle looks at darts
As shown in the clip above, Luke Littler has a rather unorthodox approach in comparison to other top level darts players.
Whereas most checkouts have a set formula that is followed by the majority of throwers, he often opts to go down more random routes when it comes to getting to a double.
It is something that the sport has not really seen before, at least not to this level.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Wayne Mardle went as far as to say that the teenager has completely changed the way he thinks about darts.
I have watched, played and been involved in darts for way too long and Luke coming along and doing what he is doing has changed my opinion about how things should be done.
Darts is all about patterns but he doesn't care about patterns and goes his own way. He doesn't care if someone says 'don't do that'.
When someone is good enough to do that, you realise it is not a problem. He has opened my eyes. You don't need to stick to convention.
He is going to change the game by doing it. The kids and adults will learn from him. There are no negatives.
Luke Littler is sure to challenge for major titles for the next couple of decades, and despite the fact that there has never been a higher standard in professional darts, you wouldn't bet again him racking up tournament wins at a high rate.
The fact that plays in such a thrilling manner would make it all the more entertaining.
