Over the last few years, behind the scenes sport documentaries have become all the rage. On the back of the success of the likes of Drive To Survive, it seems that every major sport has released some sort of fly on the wall series in recent times.
Golf, tennis, and cycling have all had their own editions on Netflix, while a Six Nations documentary is also coming later this year.
Of course, the success of these shows are largely based around the personalities that that take part. That is what allowed Drive To Survive to become what it was during its early seasons, while some other sports have not quite managed to capture that magic.
However, one upcoming offering should certainly make for interesting viewing.

Behind the scenes darts documentary coming to our screens in 2024
Darts has steadily grown in popularity in recent years, with the sport hitting new heights during this year's PDC World Darts Championship. Largely powered by the run of 16-year old sensation Luke Littler, a record number of viewers would tune in to watch the business end of the tournament.
Scrap that!!!! 3.71m peak and
4.8m total audience for the final last night..highest ever non football audience on @SkySports - darts is MASSIVE! 🎯 https://t.co/RVQlf9uwHD— Eddie Hearn (@EddieHearn) January 4, 2024
Last night's final was the most viewed non-football event in the history of Sky Sports.
Now, a new show coming to our screens later this year will give us a glimpse behind the scenes of the biggest PDC World Darts Championship yet.
Darts is a three-part documentary series that will air on Sky and NOW TV in 2024. Cameras were given unprecedented access to player and their families throughout the event, which will cover the pre-tournament preparation all the way up to Luke Humphries' victory in the final.
The PDC official website describes the show as:
Following a year like no other, this three-part series for Sky Documentaries offers exclusive access to the world of professional darts.
The series, which tracks the action from pre-tournament preparation to the final and beyond, follows up-and-coming hopefuls to top-seeded players, the families who support them to achieve their dreams, as well as those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to create this global phenomenon.
Darts is one of the most popular sports on TV, yet little is known about the players themselves.
This series charts what it's really like to be a darts player in today's world: the ups and downs, the humour, the camaraderie, as well as the sacrifices they make to win the biggest prize in the game.
Considering some of the personalities currently competing at the top level of darts, this show should certainly make for entertaining viewing.
