Every Christmas the World Darts Championship delivers some of the greatest moments on and off the stage.
This year has been no different, with everyone from Celtic's Old Firm winners to James Maddison gracing the revered Ally Pally with their presence off the stage, and a number of huge upsets on the stage.
It was a busy night both on and off the stage on Sunday night. In front of the board, reigning world champion Luke Humphries was eliminated from the competition by a thus far hit-and-miss Peter Wright who beat him 4 sets to one.
While Humphries' dismissal was a shock in its own right, off the stage, James Maddison caused a different type of stir, with the Tottenham star coming under fire for his presence at the Alexandra Palace.

Maddison hits back at Ally Pally critics
Maddison was in the house for the Sunday evening session of the World Darts Championship alongside fellow Spurs teammate Brennan Johnson just hours after their 2-2 Premier League draw with Wolves.
The pair who looked to be basking in the atmosphere of a lively Ally Pally and big-name performances from Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright and Luke Humphries came under fire for attending the event so soon after they dropped more points in the league standings.
Taking to social media the fans were complaining about the attitude of Brennan Johnson and Maddison, with one claiming he was 'taking the piss'
You taking the p***? The form we're in and you go the darts? Unacceptable.
Evidently not one to go down quietly, James Maddison wasted no time clapping back, responding to the comment in just twelve minutes with a brilliant one-liner.
Shut up you wally.
In fairness to Maddison, he's well known for his love of the sport, with the pretend darts throw one of his go-to goal-scoring celebrations. While their attendance at the World's premier darting competition has divided opinion, the pair have also received plenty of support for their actions on social media.
Tottenham's share of the spoils with Wolves was the culmination of what has been a difficult end to the year for the London club and Ange Postecoglou.
After Sunday's result, Spurs have won just one in their last five top-flight games and sit eleventh in the Premier League having lost to Nottingham Forrest on St. Stephen's Day and having suffered a humiliating 6-3 loss at the hands of Liverpool just three days before Christmas.
