Alex Gibney's new documentary (he's also making the one about Ireland vs Italy at Giants Stadium and the Loughinisland Massacre) 'The Armstrong Lie' is out in Ireland at the end of the month. A trailer was released in anticipation yesterday.
Gibney was hired to document Lance Armstrong's 2009 comeback year but the film was then put on hiatus due to the doping scandal surrounding the cyclist. The film then picks up in 2013 following his admission of guilt. It received favourable reviews when released in the US late last year.
If you're interested in hearing from Alex Gibney himself about the film, Grantland's Bill Simmons did a podcast with the documentary maker before Christmas.
You can listen to that here.
