For Irish cyclist Sam Bennett, this year's Giro d'Italia has been replete with splendid achievements.
Winning two separate stages, Belgian-born (but Carrick-on-suir-raised) Bennett has greatly impressed with his phenomenal speed in the late stages of races.
On Monte Zoncolan yesterday however, Bennett had less luck. Whilst Chris Froome and Simon Yates made it a British one-two up one of the hardest climbs in European cycling, Bennett was left lingering at the very back.
Clearly not too dispirited by his position in the race, Bennett opted to entertain the crowd (and perhaps himself) in serious style. Amid some pretty hairy conditions, Bennett carried out maybe the most impressive wheelie you are likely to see.
When your last to the top of Zoncolan but win all the style points 👌

Earning the plaudits of those gathered, there was even a couple of dedicated Irish fans there to witness Bennett in full flow.
Not that everyone was impressed with Bennett's decision.
Thoughts on @Sammmy_Be's skills? 😏#Giro101 pic.twitter.com/ex0tA45xdx
