UCI president Pat McQuaid gave an interview to Claire Byrne on 'Prime Time' last night ahead of this saturday's Cycling Ireland EGM which will decide whether the federation should nominate the UCI president to contest an election in September for a third term in office.
The questions about McQuaid's suitability for re-election are covered extensively here. It can be frustrating listening to McQuaid, particularly his contention that there were always suspicions about Lance Armstrong as far back as 1999 but yet the UCI still accepted two donations at a total of over $125,000 from the rider.
