Lance Armstrong Reveals Huge Sum Of Money He Lost For Being "A Fucking Idiot"

Lance Armstrong is without a doubt the most notorious cyclist to have ever taken to the sport. In an era of unprecedented coverage, Armstrong was the poster boy with seven consecutive Tour de France titles.

His recovery from cancer and subsequent founding of the Lance Armstrong Foundation (now the Livestrong Foundation) to aid other cancer survivors only heightened his profile, while he even returned to cycling in 2009 after initially retiring in 2005.

However, he is now most famous for his part in the US Postal doping scandal which saw him stripped of his titles and banned for life. In 2012, a United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) investigation discovered Armstrong was the ringleader in on of the most-famous and longlasting doping programmes sport has ever seen.

Armstrong now does a podcast, called Foreword, where he rarely discusses his past in any detail. Yet, on this week's episode, he had Noah Kagan as his guest. Kagan had worked for Facebook in its infancy before he was fired, something Armstrong claimed he could relate to:

I've never had anyone on in a year and a half, sitting across the table from me, who has also lost more than $100 million because they were a fucking idiot, this is a first.

When pressed Armstrong confirmed it was over $100 million that he had lost, before going on to claim if given the opportunity he wouldn't change his behaviour:

We got to talk about it, everybody listening knows how I lost more than 100 million which is neither here nor there, we should also talk about whether or not we'd change that, because I wouldn't change it.

It's a questionable stance for a man famed for his bullying and intimidation. Armstrong was defiant in the aftermath of his ban too, posting the following picture on Twitter in 2012 with the caption "back in Austin and just layin' around."

It seems he'll never change.
