The Tour De France's traditional procession into Paris got the sprint finish that it deserved on the final day of the competition. The riders entered the Champs Elysees with Alexander Kristoff trying to hold off Marcel Kittel at the front. With Kristoff a matter of metres from the line, Kittel showed a breathtaking change of pace to take the final stage for the second year in a row.
Vincenzo Nibali finished soon after to complete an imperious couple of weeks for the Italian rider. He ended up topping the general classification 7 minutes 37 seconds ahead of his nearest rival Jean-Christophe Peraud.
