What time will Katie Taylor be fighting?

BBC Radio 5 Live are covering the night of boxing live, and their coverage begins at 9:30om. While the ring time will ultimately be dependent on the previous fights, we can expect Katie Taylor’s fight to be starting somewhere between 9:30pm and 10pm. The main event ring walks are expected at 10:30pm, so BBC’s time estimates would seem to line up well.

Have Katie Taylor and Natasha Jonas fought before?

The two have met twice before – first in an amateur bout over 10 years ago, before meeting in the 2012 London Olympics. Taylor came out on top in a comfortable win in the quarter-finals, before going on to take a famous gold medal for Ireland. Jonas has said in the buildup to this fight that she believes Taylor was “the only” boxer who could have beaten her at London 2012.
