On BBC yesterday evening, a few hours after the theft of what was rightfully Michael Conlan's - a place in the Olympic semi-final - respected boxing analyst Steve Bunce was interviewed by John Inverdale about the scandalous decisions seen in the ring at these Olympics.

Bunce said that what happened to Conlan yesterday and Vassily Levit on Monday was 'both wrong and heartbreaking'.

What we saw here today and what we saw last night in the heavyweight final where another Russian called Evgeny Tishchenko was gifted a decision that was far worse than the Conlan one. The Conlan one was bad and if you've watched it, you may be amazed but the Tishchenko one left this arena with 1,000 people staying behind and booing for 20 minutes.

What happened to young Michael Conlan was both heartbreaking and wrong. What happened to Levit, the guy that lost to Tishchenko last night was equally heartbreaking and equally wrong.

The AIBA released a statement today saying that officials involved in a 'handful' of poor decisions had been sent home from the Games. They did not name the fights or the specific refs and judges.

According to Bunce, the six individuals involved in the Conlan and Levit fights, should be among those sent home.

There are 60 or so judges on the roster and the three men that voted last night - we know who they are. The three men who voted for Conlan today, we know who they are because they give us the sheets. They're not hidden. They're not some secret cabal that goes out the back door and vanishes to a hotel.

Those six men will not work again at these Olympics. That's a fact.
