After a subdued final press conference on Wednesday night where both fighters wished each other luck at staredown, we weren't sure what the weigh-ins were going to offer on Friday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The place was packed with Irish fans as expected, and Floyd Mayweather was booed any time he spoke, but the man looking to push his record to 50-0 remained calm and collected for the most part.
That was no mean feat, as Conor McGregor switched into war mode when the two were brought together for the final staredown before the fight. McGregor has done this regularly in the UFC, but this time it was something else as he tore into Mayweather before maniacally screaming 'EIRÉ' repeatedly.
Intense.
It's hard to believe it's finally time for this to happen, but there's nothing left other than a tedious amount of build-up and seven undercard fights.
This aggression by McGregor is usually followed by a big performance, but it remains to be seen if it's a good omen this time out. One thing that is certain is that the Irishman will be significantly larger, up to around 170 lbs, by the fight, and that's a big reason for his unwavering confidence.
Not long now.
