Late. Tedious. Crass. Sleazy. A complete waste of time.

The New York leg of the Mayweather vs McGregor World Tour was all of those things and more as it was not third time lucky for Showtime regarding their production of this event. Toronto was much more like it after a shaky start, but that momentum was killed by turning the crowd into an angry mob due to a parade of bullshit.

After starting the stream a ridiculous two hours after it was billed, those who stayed up to watch it on this side of the world were treated to bizarre hip-hop Spotify playlist interpretive dance and an unacceptable amount of monotonous suits talking complete spoof.

When McGregor did arrive, he did so in an extravagant polar bear suit, while Mayweather decided to once again drape the Irish flag over his shoulders.

The Irishman's performance was weird. Charged up and aggressive, he decided to address the sections of the media who suggested that he used a racist term towards Mayweather by making a joke that did not seem to land. In fact, it seemed as if he lost the crowd.

Mayweather then took to the stage and did what he does. Shout 'Yeeeuh' and 'HARD WORK' repeatedly before calling his opponent a bitch.

If you missed it, congratulations, here are the low-lights to satisfy your morbid curiosity.

These guys seem to have run out of material. The London event is Friday night, and it would want to be a drastic improvement all around.
