WHAT. A. FIGHT.
Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko was a heavyweight slugfest for the ages, and all the pre-fight hype was justified as we were treated to battle that was like something out of a hollywood movie.
After a cagey start, Joshua took the front foot as he dropped Klitschko in the 5th round, but the Ukranian fought back put Joshua down in the 6th. From there is looked like the young Englishman may have spent all his energy.
But that was not the case, as AJ slowly but surely found his feet, and after an impressive 10th round, he kicked it up a gear and dropped Klitschko twice before the ref stepped in to put a top to it.
Incredible. Absolutely incredible.
For Joshua to show that resolve to dig deep and come back when it looked like Klitschko had in the bag is just incredible. We can't wait to see what is next. Just look at the knockdown Klitschko scored in the 6th:
But he composed himself, proved that he could last into the late rounds, and won it. 19-0, 19 KOs.
Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko was heavyweight boxing at it's absolute best. A treat.
