Gennady Golovkin did it in three rounds, Miguel Cotto did it in four.
Cotto retained his WBC middleweight title by stopping Daniel Geale on Saturday night, just like Golovkin did last July.
A little over 30 seconds into the fourth round, the champion had the challenger on the deck with a big left hook.

Here's the replay.
Shortly after that knockdown, the fight was over when Cotto put Geale on floor for a second time and the referee called a halt to the fight.

Cotto is now 40-4 in his career with 33 of those wins coming via knockout.
Speaking to HBO about the prospect of Canelo Alvarez being his next opponent, Cotto said:
I’ve had 44 fights in my whole career, Canelo is just another one. If people want the fight, let’s do it.
Alvarez was responsible for one of the KOs of the year so far against James Kirkland last month.
A little bit more hesitantly at first, the WBC middleweight title holder also spoke about taking on Gennady Golovkin. He eventually said that if Golovkin was available after the Alvarez bout then he would be open to the possibility.
